Who is PivotDesk for?
PivotDesk is for experienced professionals making a move that does not fit neatly into keyword filters: a role change, industry shift, geography move, or career story that needs context before it makes sense. If you are looking for your first job, applying for the same role you alrady have at a similar company, or trying to avoid outreach entirely, PivotDesk is not the right product for you.
What is the difference between Map and Momentum? Prepared?
Map gives you the company universe, prioritisation, and contacts to approach. Momentum helps you run the search: outreach, follow-up, writing support, tracking, and next actions in one workflow.
If you want clarity before you start and want to proceed at a more relaxed pace, choose Map. If you are ready to actively reach out and keep the search moving, choose Momentum.

Why is Momentum recommended?

Do I need an external contact-data service?
Yes. For the contact-import step, you use your own external contact-data service outside PivotDesk, export a CSV, and import that CSV into PivotDesk.
PivotDesk guides the workflow, prioritisation, and next steps, but it does not resell third-party contact data.
The free tiers of the contact-data services PivotDesk works best with allow you to find all of the company and contact information you need for your relationship-led job search.
Why not just use my external contact-data service without PivotDesk?
You can. The challenge is that contact-data tools are usually built for enterprise sales teams, not for a job search. They can give you raw data, but they do not help you to prioritise companies or people, structure the job search, or have a clear set of steps to follow.
What happens if the external contact-data workflow changes?
You will use a data source outside of PivotDesk to gather the raw company and contact data and import it into PivotDesk. The data sources PivotDesk works with all have generous free tiers that are more than sufficient for your relationship-led job search. If availability, limits, or access to these data sources change in a way that materially affects your ability to use the PivotDesk package you purchased, PivotDesk will provide a reasonable alternative workflow or refund your purchase.
Can I upgrade from Map to Momentum?
Yes. If you buy Map and upgrade to Momentum within one month of your Map purchase, the amount you paid for Map is credited against the then-current Momentum price.
For example, if you paid $25 for Map and Momentum is $150 when you upgrade, you pay $125. After the one-month upgrade window, PivotDesk does not offer an upgrade credit.
What does PivotDesk guarantee?
PivotDesk does not guarantee interviews, replies, offers, placement, salary outcomes, or hiring timelines. No honest job-search system can.
